3 years

I can't believe Ash and I have been together for 3 years. Where does all the time goes?

I enjoyed myself throughout the past 3 years being with him.
He is a sweet guy and treats me well.
Our relationship is quite special. Not those typical couples who always go cafes or do the brunch sort of thing?
We are quite practical and share similar views on most of the things.
Even if we dont agree, we just respect each other's view.
We don't do those jealousy stuff to spike each other.
We both know we wanted to keep this relationship going, we won't do anything to put it at risk.
This is what I love about him too.
We are quite certain that we would want to spend the rest of our lifes together.
We are planning to BTO within this year (still waiting for the right estate to be release) and get our house in 3-4 years time, which is what we planned initially.
If BTO can't get, we will be getting resale.
3 to 4 years will be a good time to save enough money for our renovation works and downpay more, perhaps?

I am really looking forward to what the future have planned for us.

LA Travelogue I

On the first day we reach LA at 5pm, we are all dead beat.
We check in our Airbnb studio apartment in the evening.

After this trip, in my personal opinion, I will never stay in Airbnb ever again.
It isn't as clean as what people always mention, even if the location is the best.

We are walking down to the hollywood main street after checking in!

We have Mexican Food opposite the famous chinese theatre.
And this is our view.

The street of LA at night.

We walked down the street and saw, American Apparel, where i sludge most of my money at!
Their clothes is damn pretty!

That night we turn in at about 9pm because the next day Ash had an appointment with some flying thing.

We dropped him off the place and this is what we see. DAMN COOL LA.

We also attended his briefing which is super cool.

When he is about to do the flying, we left and this car plate is what we notice.

We head for A&W and America is a confusing place!
When we enter, they wrote KFC.

Please try their KFC in America, it is by far the best KFC I have ever eaten!
Even the salad which I don't take in SG, taste so good there! I even finish it all by myself.
But i suggest you guys to share, because the portion for one meal is always so big!

After having lunch, we went for WALMART!
And we back and have a early rest!

Next up, Universal Studio, HOLLYWOOD!

Monterey Bay and Pacific Coast Travelogue

Since i got some time now, I shall blogged about my LA trip.

We rented a car to drive from SF to LA.
In between, we stopped over at Monterey bay for its famous aquarium and pacific coast for a night before continuing to LA.

I didn't really take a lot of photo because I am amaze by the aquarium itself.

After that, we went for lunch. This is where I have the best seafood in my entire life.

This famous track, Mazda Raceway Laguna Seca is actually on the way.
So we visit it and took this photo of our rented car. Ash and Joehunt went a little crazy in the souvenir  shop.

We choose to go by the pacific coast route, because of the pretty coaster view which Joehunt and I didnt see before, however it is the longer route, hence the overnight.

This is one of the photos we stop and took photos.

There is actually a lot of lodge available in that area.
Ash booked Big Sur Lodge because of the photos on the web.
It is a lodge in the middle of the forest and it will be damn cold at night!

To be honest, driving on the pacific coast route to the lodge, we dont even have any signal!
Not even on the router. This shows how ulu this place is!

SF Travelogue

Hey guys! I am back. Sorry for neglecting this space for a long time.
I am currently busy with work, yoga and korean class.

Ok, lets get started.
Ash and I went to the States in May (I know, so long ago!) for our annual trip.
His brother went with us for about a week before he goes back to sg while we continue our journey.

First, wifi router was rented from Changi Airport (google, changi recommendation).
It can connect up to 5 devices.
Because in the States, it is not easy and cheap to buy a sim card,
and we are going on a roadtrip which we need google map.
For 16 days, we paid $129sgd.

For hotel, we stayed at Hotel Fusion located at Union Square.
I highly recommend you guys to stay at that area.
Because the cable car starting point is right in front of GAP store.
Cable car ticketing booth is located in front of Forever21.

From the airport, we take the airport train to the town area.

When we are there everyday, we travel by cable car which is the cheapest transport there.
Still quite ex as compare to sg.

We took the cable car to Fisherman Wharf the second day we are there.
On the first day, we didn't go anywhere due to jet lag. We slept in the hotel the whole day.

The first thing we do is to walk to Pier 39 to see the seals. Please dont be fool!
They are very smelly! Thats why i stand so far to take photo.

We also bought a boat tour ticket and go out to view the golden gate bridge, we are lazy to walk all the way there!
And Alcatraz from far, but the weather is super COLD!

At Fishermen's Wharf, there is two ships that were used in WW2.
One of it is a submarine which save singapore!
There is a ex navy officer who explained things to us, when ask where we come from, he is so delight to hear we are from singapore.

The other is a steam engine ship which also fought for singapore against the japanese in WW2.

At night we went for our Alcatraz Night Tour. Luckily, we booked early!
When we tried to book for Joehunt, the ticket was sold out.
He got no choice but to went for the Day tour on the next day.

When you first enter, you will be entering the shower area.
This is where you collect your audio headset.
They do provide the headset in other langugages as well.

On the 3rd day, Joehunt went for his Alcatraz Day tour (have to book in advance) while we climb up to the coit tower, at sg 2am.

The city skyline of SF.

While waiting for his brother, we went for Hillstone for lunch.
Since the next day, we are leaving SF for LA.

That night, we went A&F for some shopping! And had pizza for dinner.

Next post, my LA trip.

Chasing dreams or Getting Lost

Just checked in at Terminal 3 with Ash and his brother.
Having a light breakfast while awaiting for our flight.
Enjoying the serenity of Changi Airport at this wee hour.
Slowly reflecting back on life and how the last two years of real 'adult' life have been.

What are dreams?
Dreams gives everyone a purpose in life.
Everyone has dreams, goals, aspirations, ambitions whatever we want to call them.
In our own minds we have an idea of how our life will be in perfection if we achieve those dream.
We normally know our dreams even at a young, innocent age but not many give much thought on ways in achieving them most of the time.
I mean how we gonna achieve getting that dream job or living that dream life we had always thought about?
In pursuing our dreams, the struggles and effort plays an important role.
Words such as sacrifice, hate, love, anger and confusion are common when chasing those dreams.

Not everyone is 'lucky' enough to be working in their ideal job or living their dream life.
Simply put it, reality can be a harsh bitch and it isn't always sunshine and rainbows.
As working adults, we  can't deny that many of us share the goal of career success and progression.
A goal which to many working adults allows us to become more independent and give ourselves and parents a worry-free life.
Not to mention ensuring that the people who have sacrifice so much for us when we young, our parents, are provided with the same or even better quality in living and comfort.

In other words, our quest in  chasing the 'dream' to do what we desire and love, should be done responsibly.
There aren't any shortcuts in achieving our definition of success.
They may be some luck involve but if lady luck ain't shining on you, working hard or smart is probably the way to go.
In my experience, many people love blaming it on society norms or rat-races stopping them from achieving their goals or screwing up their lives.
Of course i am not daft enough to believe, everyone is a lazy ass.
Some of us with a less fortunate background really have it hard and sometimes life really beats you down.
Even so, many such individuals have risen through the ashes and pushed beyond the obstacles and succeeded in their endeavors and goals and become inspirations to us all that sometimes all you sometimes need is the heart, soul and mindset.

On the other hand there are indivudials, who have lived life which may not have been full of luxuries but far from anything that anyone can describe as miserable.
Some individuals will use any excuse that they spend their 'valuable time' thinking off in an effort to justify their laziness.
They want the results but not a even an ounce of effort, whether its from working hard or smart was or will ever be given.
Playing the blame game is an easier solution when the going gets tough because you know actually putting in any effort is 'over-rated'.
Sometimes you really wonder if any part of them were ever true to their ideals and principles in actually succeding to achieve what they envision at the start.
Understandbly, its up to an individual how we want and how much effort we want to put in to make our dreams reality.

Our mindset and principles motivates us to always push ourselves further.
Without a motivated mindset and sound principles the battle for our achievement is already lost.
Its sad to see the rise in the number of individuals in society who only interested in finding excuses, blaming the universe or just playing on sympathy in trying to achieve their goals.
It sad to see how these individuals have degraded the word 'dreams'.
A beautiful word that millions have look to for a life of aspiration, inspiration and motivation.
It has given many people meaning to life and allows us to aspire to  push the boundaries set on us and be better or more successful.

2 years have passed since i started my journey in achieving my personal goals and dreams.
Adult life has it ups and downs, the same with any phase of life. I have cried, laugh, smiled, sulk but my determination to achieve my dreams has always motivated me to keep pushing my limits and boundaries.
It is my biggest motivator. Without it life would be meaningless.
There would be no purpose and we would all be lost in these immense universe.
Achieving the dreams and goals i set means i do not go looking for excuses, i go looking for tools and skills to build my vision.

Its good to dream ................................................................................................................................ just make sure you are in the right direction.

OK! Time to go over to the boarding gate.
America, see you in 20 hours time!
YAY. HOLIDAY STARTS NOW!!!

What I bring for my USA Trip

April is coming to an end soon.Which means, USA trip is coming soon.

Here is what I bring to the trip.

1. 14 sets of clothes. Because I am going for 14 days.

2. Some Travel Essential

From the above picture:

Contispation medicine
Last year, Ash and I went Taiwan and I can't shit for 4 days! I feel terrible. So I learnt my lesson.

Deodorant
I can't stand being smelly.

Small Bottles skincare stuff Abandon those DRX products because they are too bulky to bring along.
Innifree volcanic mask, Innifree orchid cream, Innifree green tea mineral mist, Innifree green tea seed serum.
I know, all from innifree. Because they are made of natural products. And best of all, they don't make me breakout.

Lip balm, contact lenses and Eyedrops.
My lips crack during dry weather, dusty places. Even Bangkok.  So I will definitely need Lip Balm.

Contact lenses
I do wear spectacles when I am taking flight. But I wanna wear shades, so i need contact lenses.
Daily contact lenses is the easiest because you save the hassle to bring the solution and wash your lenses everyday.

Eyedrops
I only use one brand eye drop, that is Alcon. And is the only eye drop that my eyes don't react shit to.
This eyedrops is those small bottles and can be recap after use.

Body Lotion
My skin gets dry very easily. So it is a must that I bring it everywhere.

3. Hair Oil

I hate it when the water from other country is so different from sg.
They makes my hair super dry, which I hate.

4. Sheet Masks

To do face mask with Ash before lights off.
